Introduction

 

 

 

Tribal religions 
In "Stammesreligionen", the famous author and Catholic theologian Hans Küng takes the viewer into the heart of Australia and to Africa, the cradle of mankind. 

 

Hinduism 
In this second part, Hans Küng traces the variety of religious traditions and beliefs in this world religion which has persisted for thousands of years. 

Chinese Religion 
In this part, Hans Küng leads the viewer to the Middle Kingdom, a country which officially does not have any religion today. 



Buddhism 
Hans Küng introduces us to the world of Buddha, the Tree of Enlightenment in India and the Zen monasteries of Japan. 



Judaism 
Mr. Küng follows the traces of this oldest prophetic religion the USA, Israel and Berlin. 



Christianity 
Hans Küng starts the sixth sequel in San Salvador. He discovers the two basic fundaments of Christianity in the slums of La Chacra: the celebration of faith and social commitment. 


Islam 
The Muslims feel they are being oppressed while the others feel threatened by fundamentalists. This documentary traces Islam from its beginnings to the present day.
